Active Shooter And What To Do

Active Killer: Things You Didn't Think About

Here are some very sobering things to consider before you allow yourself to go into full on fantasy mode. I know where you are because I used to have this solid idea of what I thought I was gonna do should bullets start flying. Having been a cop and knowing what I know about going at armed people I can tell you that the reality of your plan may need some revising. When you decide to wade into the fight you might make a mistakes(s) that could cost you your life.

  • GREAT points Abner. You must maintain ‘S-A’…situational awareness LONG AFTER the initial fight has taken place, cognizant of WHAT to do after the bad guy’s down. It’s now time to plead your case, as although the aggressor in taking the BAD guy down, nobody may know that unless there are witnesses. Maintaining ‘clear’ thought AND speech under such a rush of adrenaline and high-energy dump SHOULD BE practiced…as one never knows how you’ll deal with it when that time comes
