I know that this is going to be a sore subject for some of you because you've endured a lot of verbal abuse from friends and family on this subject. I too have been abused by well meaning loved ones who questioned my faith because I choose to carry a firearm with me to church. If you're not packing heat to church you don't have a clue what is going on in America. Christianity is under attack by people who have no compunction about walking into a sanctuary and opening fire. Being armed doesn't mean that you are not trusting in God, it means that you are dedicating yourself to being a servant and protector to your fellow man. Live the life that you have dedicated yourself too and live it fully. A guardian is useless without his weapons.

In the state that I live in, you’re supposed to have a letter on file from the head pastor giving you permission to carry concealed into the church building. Only those on our security team have such a letter (to my knowledge). Therefore, I’m not that thrilled to know that there are a LOT of CCW holders bringing their firearms concealed (hopefully in a BC holster :) ) into our church. Should evil come to visit us, it’s going to be really challenging for me to distinguish between a good-guy CCW person, and the shooter. Likewise, when a cowboy CCW person sees me with my gun out closing distance on a threat… they may think “that’s the shooter!” and try and take me out! Also, in closing, I have no idea what level of training the CCW holder has had. I do know what training we provide for our armed security team members.
Not to sound accusatory (even though I know it does) but, why does your church not have an internal security team? I know some states make that difficult…
Intersting, totally agree BUT don’t forget it’s not only police officers that have the right to carry off duty.. don’t forget about the hundreds and thousands of firefighters and correctional officers who are peace officers in their respective States throughout this great nation… unfortunately we aren’t looked upon that way because we don’t work the streets 24/7 like the police, in cars with sirens…we just deal with the inmates in prisons twenty-four hours a day 365 days a year for 15, 20, and 30 year careers or more as well…dont forget about us…we have the right and carry concealed to church as well..be safe..God Bless
